A Sitting (All Engines)

engines: scale-means, semantic-differential, bipolar-profile, checklist, weighted-choice

A Sitting

One sitting, five kinds of question. How the day went. How it feels between two words. How you decide. Whether last night followed the sleep guidance. Four forced choices among public-domain work activities. Each part is scored by its own engine. None of them is a diagnosis.

Before a Decision

engines: bipolar-profile, then semantic-differential

Before a Decision

Use this on one decision you have not made. First, how you are leaning: prevention against promotion, deliberate against quick. Then five word-pairs for the option itself, on Osgood's line. The poles are you. The pairs are the option.

Five Factors, Short (Scale Means)

engine: scale-means

Five Factors, Short

Fifteen statements from the public-domain International Personality Item Pool, three to a factor, all worded toward the high end. Agree or disagree. A mean at 3.5 or above is the high side of that factor. This is not the copyrighted BFI or NEO.

Week Review (2 Engines)

engines: scale-means, then checklist

Week Review

Two kinds of question. First, six statements about the week, two each for energy, focus, and regard. Then five yes-or-no checks from the ordinary weekly review: inbox, calendar, projects, waiting-on, next actions. The scales are original. The checks are the public practice, not a licensed form.

How You Decide (Bipolar Profile)

engine: bipolar-profile

How You Decide

Four items, two constructs, each rated on its own. Focus is Higgins's pair: prevention against promotion. Tempo is deliberate against quick. Both poles are scored. A high one does not cancel the other. Extremity is the gap.

Holland Occupational Interests, Forced Choice (Weighted Choice)

engine: weighted-choice

Interests, Forced Choice

Twelve choices. Each offers three work activities from the public-domain O*NET Interest Profiler. Pick the one you would rather do. The letters are Holland's six: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional. The code is the three that lead. A tie keeps the earlier letter. This is an ipsative sort of those activities, not the Profiler itself, and not a job assignment.

Last Night Sleep Hygiene (Bipolar Profile)

engine: bipolar-profile

Last Night

Seven yes-or-no items from ordinary sleep-hygiene guidance (regular wake time, caffeine cutoff, a dark cool room, the bed kept for sleep, screens off, getting up if awake, enough hours). Four or more is a night that followed the guidance. This is not a screen for a sleep disorder.

Today, Between Two Words (Semantic Differential)

engine: semantic-differential

Today, Between Two Words

Osgood's semantic differential, on one day. Seven pairs from the three factors he found across languages: evaluation, potency, and activity. One is the left word. Five is the right word. Three is between.
